The Creo Thermoflex Wide II combined with Artwork Systems front end and Nexus RIPS provide unsurpassed quality and repeatability to the Digital Flexo and Digital Letterpress user.
Why is this solution better than other solutions?
Firstly, the Thermoflex is calibrated using Flexocal. This calibration provides brighter cleaner Flexographic printing. If you can't believe this, give it a try and don't pay for it if you are not convinced! Now there is an offer you can't refuse! (Some conditions apply!)
Using Flexocal, we can tailor the press curve to suit your printing conditions without altering the original postscript file. Because we understand Digital Flexography from a Postscript perspective, we are able to selectively choose a minimum dot to best suit the plate type being used. We are unable to identify anyone else in the industry who has this understanding and is applying it.
Secondly, the Thermoflex imaging technology provides consistency that the competition just can't match. The issue here has more to do with what happens to the plate during exposure, but it is the Gaussian characteristic of the Laser on the Barco which opens the door to this plate making problem.
To explain further, If a dot has a soft Gaussian edge, then the resultant dot on the plate is far more likely to be influenced by variations in exposure than a hard dot. Given that there is no such thing as a perfectly even exposure source for flexographic plates, then it stands to reason that there is far greater inconsistency in the final dot formed from a Gaussian dot.

We look forward to providing you with more information on these technological advances in Digital Plate making.
